Fitting Instructions Use screws, nails, rivets or silicon to install BIRD AWAY. Fit BIRD AWAY on ledges, window sills, concrete and timber beams. Preferably an 8 x 1 inch (25mm) zinc-plated, hardened, countersunk screw with a cross head should be used. Plugs may be required on concrete or masonry surfaces. On timber, use wood screws or nails. If the surface is sufficiently even, three screws per metre will suffice, one close to the centre of each section. However, if the section ends tend to lift when the screw is tightened, use two screws, one at the end of each section. Pop rivets or silicon-based adhesives suitable to bind the polycarbonate BIRD AWAY to a particular surface, such as metal roofing sheets, may also be used. Use suitably heat resistant (and where exposed to sunlight, UV-stabilised) cable ties to strap BIRD AWAY to steel beams or pipes soiled with rust, grease or oil, where screw, nail or adhesive fixing is impractical. Please ensure that you use appropriate protective measures and correct tools at all times or contact a professional tradesperson to fitBIRD AWAYfor you. If unsure about any aspect of fitting BIRD AWAY, always contact
your distributor first.
